Ogunrinde Ibrahim Akinola is a Doctor of Physiotherapy (DPT) and public health professional in training, with strong clinical and academic experience in hospital-based and community rehabilitation practice. He possesses demonstrated competence in clinical service delivery, multidisciplinary collaboration, and academic support within teaching hospital settings.
He holds a Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation (Physiotherapy) from Obafemi Awolowo University and a Doctor of Physiotherapy (Transitional) degree from the University of Medical Sciences, Ondo State. He is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Health Policy and Management, with interests in health systems strengthening, rehabilitation policy, and institutional capacity development.
With over five years of progressive clinical experience, Dr. Ogunrinde has practiced across orthopedics, neurology, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, sports physiotherapy, and community-based rehabilitation. His expertise includes advanced clinical assessment, evidence-based rehabilitation planning, patient education, and outcome monitoring, with a strong emphasis on patient-centered and multidisciplinary care.
Beyond clinical practice, he has demonstrated capacity in rehabilitation team coordination, research ethics, health leadership, and professional development, supported by multiple local and international certifications. His public health training further enables the integration of clinical rehabilitation with policy, management, and population-level health perspectives.
Dr. Ogunrinde is a registered member of the Medical Rehabilitation Therapists (Registration) Board of Nigeria (MRTB) and is committed to advancing physiotherapy education, improving rehabilitation service delivery, and contributing to research and institutional development.
