Mr. Adegboyega Ridwan Adebowale is a dedicated and results-driven Environmental Health professional, originally from and currently residing in Osogbo, Osun State.
He commenced his academic journey at International Muslim College, Saki West, Oyo State, where he obtained his West African Senior School Certificate (WAEC) and the National Examination Council (NECO) certificate in 2012. He then pursued a National Diploma in Environmental Health Technician from the School of Health Technology, Kankia, Katsina State, graduating in 2016. His academic pursuit culminated in the earning of a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Health Science from Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, Ilorin, in 2022.
Mr. Adebowale's professional career began in the private sector at Ajala Multi-Purpose Concept in Saki, Oyo State, where he served as a Product Sales Manager from January 2016. His foray into the public health sector commenced during his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) year, with a placement as a Data Entry Clerk at the Osun State Small Town Water Supply, Sanitation and Hygiene (STOWASSA) project in August 2023. After completing his national service, he was retained as an Environmental Health Officer with STOWASSA. In July 2024, he advanced to the position of Environmental Sanitation Officer with the Osun State Rural Water and Environmental Sanitation Agency (RUWESA), a role he held until August 2025. He subsequently returned to STOWASSA on the 28th of August, 2025, where he currently serves as an Environmental Health Officer.
His career trajectory showcases a blend of managerial, technical, and field-based expertise. As a Product Sales Manager, he developed strategic sales plans, cultivated strong customer relationships, and led teams to achieve revenue targets. His role as an NYSC Data Entry Clerk at STOWASSA refined his competencies in meticulous data management, verification, and system integrity maintenance. As an Environmental Sanitation Officer at RUWESA (2024-2025), his core responsibilities were comprehensive, including promoting sanitation and hygiene best practices, conducting public education and outreach, implementing vector control and waste management programs, monitoring water quality, and enforcing food safety standards. Presently, as an Environmental Health Officer at STOWASSA, he continues to apply this expertise in practical community settings.
Beyond his official duties, Mr. Adebowale is deeply committed to voluntary service. He served as the General Secretary of the Environmental Protection and Sanitation Group during his NYSC year (2023-2024), where he successfully organized and documented a major environmental sensitization and cleanup exercise at Sasha International Market, Osogbo. Earlier, in 2021, he contributed as a Facilitator for a Community-Led Total Sanitation (CLTS) program in Osogbo, empowering local communities to end open defecation and take ownership of their sanitation and hygiene.
He is widely recognized as an energetic, adaptable, and proficient professional. His skill set combines strong communication, negotiation, and team-building abilities with technical expertise in environmental health protocols. Proficient in word processing and data management systems, he is a practical problem-solver who thrives in dynamic environments and manages multiple tasks with efficiency. Mr. Adebowale is actively seeking opportunities where he can achieve professional self-actualization and contribute meaningfully to institutional growth and development in the environmental health sector.
Mr. Adebowale is a Nigerian citizen, born on the 12th of November, 1994. He is married and makes his home in Osogbo, Osun State. His personal interests revolve around continuous learning and engaging with people from diverse backgrounds. He remains a focused and dedicated professional, committed to applying his knowledge and skills for the advancement of public health standards.
